In this semester I have English for law class. For 3 months that I spend the time to read 2 for books; a time to kill, the firm. The stories have a many point different, many kind of think, many character. But the best point that made me like it. I will tell you later.
Generally in “a time to kill” the story told about conflict in the different skins; dark skin between white skin. The story was begun by the blacks killed the whites especially in the white country since the conflict was divided 2 position “Jake” who want to help the blacks. “Rufus” who need to the blacks go to the jail. Finally “Jake” who’s a hero it a story was wins in the case by his capability.
For the part in “the firm” take about in one lawyer life who enter the best of the law firm. He was a handsome, tall, urgently wanted to succeed “Mitch”. Let a moment for he worked in the law firm. He was known the law firm is the mafia law firm which laundered money. Mitch would do anything, anyway for escaped the dangerous. Finally he succeeds to escape the mafia.
But the best story in my thinking is “A time to kill” because the reason for I gave, first. Second, I think “A time to kill” has a many sense involve the legal process, but “The firm” not have Why they different, and important… So, When we study Law, we want to know, learn a legal step. When we read, know a story, we need to learn about legal from a textbook like the two stories “the firm” almost in the story haven’t law involve. But in “A time to kill” most of the story had a legal step. I think if you study law, now you must to read “A time to kill” that made you know and understand the legal step more than you read “The firm”.
Third, If you read “A time to kill” you will see the ability from “Jake”. He was a good lawyer. He could to learned and problem as fast as he could fix a problem. He could search a problem when everybody couldn’t see and used the key point to fix a problem in recently
Finally, the last position so I think is very difficult in topic “A time to kill” has a legal step in “common law” but in fact, in Thailand legal step have “civil law”
Next I see the point and compare between the legal step in Thailand and USA. Then you will understand the legal step in other country so much. You can know in legal process into your country so much. And you can use the law into the legal step easily.
All of thing made me think “A time to kill” is the best story in this semester.”A time to kill” talk a about the investigation, the legal step in the court. So that have a value for study law.
